What’s the true inspiration behind this scent, you ask? Something that comes and goes, and never stays still… while giving you only a few seconds to seize your chance. “A chance came up, I seized it.” Mademoiselle Chanel’s intention was to acknowledge that her real adventure was in one of her own fragrances, a state of mind, a way of being. Thus, it definitely proves the truism that great chances are unpredictable and appear when you least expect it, but if you decide to seize it, anything is possible.
Chanel presented a new range of their popular fragrance, Chance which was launched on the market on April 2nd, 2010. The face of the promotion campaign is Sigrid Agren, and the photographer is Jean-Paul Goude. The nose behind this scent is Jacques Polge. The romantic and pink new version, Chance Eau Tendre, is proclaimed to be a floral-fruity version of Chance EDP. The bottle is the same as its antecedent, but it is distinguished this time by pink fluid. The fragrance is available in 50 and 100ml bottles.
The spray format is selected for the eau de toilette for a more generous use, with an effortless application on skin or clothing. Besides, it comes in practical travel size to revive the notes of the fragrance throughout the day. It can be easily slipped into your purse and can be taken with you anyplace. Chanel also provides a complete perfuming ritual for the bath and body to enhance the fragrance trail.
Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum opens with a surprisingly fresh citrus scent that is instantly balanced by the floral heart of the fragrance. As soon as you spray the perfume onto the skin, you can feel the citrus notes and the jasmine. After some time, you will notice that the fragrance starts to develop and this is where the notes of rose and white musk takes over. Chance Eau Tendre EDP evolves magnificently throughout the day. It’s neither too sweet nor too floral or insanely citrus. The notes are very well mingled and balanced which makes the fragrance quite novel and hard to describe. It has more depth than its counterpart versions. You can feel that the citrusy note is quite unique and the combination of white flowers and rose makes the perfume balanced and captivating. Unfortunately, Chanel has not listed all the notes of the fragrance and you would not want to be misled but it feels like there is something more than the fragrance have to offer. The most dominant notes that can be felt in this perfume are grapefruit, jasmine, and rose.
