Eau De Parfum
Product Name: Black Opium
Product Description: Black Opium is a highly addictive feminine fragrance from Yves Saint Laurent. What makes the product fascinating and seductively intoxicating are the opening notes of adrenaline-rich coffee and the sweet sensuality of vanilla reclining into the softness of white flowers for a modern, young, and vibrant feel. More tempting than ever, the BLACK OPIUM bottle is reinvented in an unconditional rock decor, that represents feminity in an absolute way. The black glitter adds and electrifies the already intense black lacquer and thus exhibits a blazing ring of glowing womanhood.

What does the name Yves Saint Black Opium Eau de Parfum encourage us to do? For me, it surely leads to taking risks, to explore what’s forbidden, evoking a sense of desire, of wanting more and more and of never having enough. It is a scent that is surprisingly classic and yet new, scandalous, eternal and contemporary. Black is not really a color, it instills an attitude in the wearer that screams, “don’t mess with me.” Opium is compatible with a mystical sensation, which leads to a roller-coaster full of illicit, extensive and intense sensations.
The two words that illustrate the meaning of this fragrance together are modern, timeless and elegant. BLACK OPIUM is the VIP after-party, visceral darkness illuminated by an inner star. It makes for a strong and daring name, both passionate and playful.
Highly sensual and luminous, Black Opium Eau de Toilette gives the line of Black Opium a touch of brightness. The iconic coffee notes are amplified by citrus and pear. As you spray the perfume, you’ll notice that the Black Opium Eau de Parfum by Yves Saint Laurent begins with fruity notes of tart and delightful black currant combined with pear zest, a touch of citruses, and green mandarin bark. It is furthered by the heart which consolidates the key ingredient—coffee, which becomes fresher with the notes of jasmine tea and luminous sweet orange blossom. It highlights desire with white musk and white wood which subtly maintain the balance of the flowers and fruit in the potion.
The iconic square perfume bottle is now crystalline and covered in pink and black glitter with the Black Opium signature stamped in metallic pink.

Are you confused about Eau de Toilette or Eau de Parfum? The difference rests upon the volume of perfume oil. While Eau de Toilette contains 5-9%, Eau de Parfum contains a bit more, usually 8-14%. It is natural to say then that, Eau de Parfume lasts longer and smells more intense than its counterpart.
